The enterprise with foreign investments in the form of a society with limited liability "Ukrshpon" has been founded in September, 1999, as a joint venture between the open joint stock enterprise 獽ievsky DOK ", the German company 玂verlack Furniere GmbH & Ko KG " and DEG ? the German investment and development society (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft).
The JV 揢krshpon?Ltd is a part of a group of companies Overlack Holding GmbH which has branched out a distributor and dealer network in Europe, the USA and partially in the CIS countries. The enterprise is placed in an industrial zone within Kiev boundaries (area Goloseevsky), Ukraine.

Production
The basic production of 揢krshpon?is planed /sliced/ veneer from domestic breeds of wood such as beech, oak, ash, sycamore, cherry, alder, maple, elm etc. It is ecologically pure, natural material which finds wide application in the manufacture of furniture, doors, and floors. During its production no harmful chemical and toxic substances are used, which makes natural veneer safe for environment and health of employees of the enterprise, as well as for its consumers.

Quality made veneer corresponds to the requirements of the standards of GOST 2977-82, code - 4408901519. Veneer is graded on 4 classes in 揢krshpon Ltd? І, ІІ, ІІІ, ІV. The sorting is carried out according to the needs of a customer. Veneer is sorted out on more than 70 versions depending on width, thickness, qualities of manufacturing and colour.

Thickness of the veneer produced by "Ukrshpon" makes basically - 0, 55 (-/+ 0, 04) mm. It is also possible to make the veneer thickness from 0, 50 mm up to 2, 5 mm depending on the order. For today the enterprise is the leader of the planed veneer manufacture in Ukraine. In 2008 "Ukrshpon" produced over 8,5 million m2 of planed veneer of different breeds.

Planed veneer is very little used in Ukraine. The JV 揢krshpon?Ltd exports about 95 % of its production to such countries as Germany, Spain, Lebanon, the USA, China, as well as to Russia, Belarus, Baltic countries.
