The framing lumber market limped toward the
long Thanksgiving weekend in the U.S. Prices were flat to narrowly mixed, as scarcities
pushed up some prices and exceedingly muted demand undermined others. Producers
aggressively probing for orders or offering month-end specials were few due to the recent
extensive production drawdown. Most mills quoted from lists, and let buyers know that they
were open to counters on quicker-shipping offerings.

Panel market
Structural panel markets slowed substantially as the long holiday weekend
approached. A subdued OSB market got even quieter. Most prices moved sideways. Loads for
shipment next week were readily available, although a few mills were booked into the
second week of December. Southern Pine plywood trading was quiet, and sales generally fell
short of production. Producers typically listened to small counters to clear
accumulations. A trickle of sales left most western Fir plywood mills quoting shipments
for next week or sooner.
