According to the latest data, China's imports of logs and sawn timber in September 2024 amounted to 5,072,000 cubic metres, up flat year-on-year; China's cumulative imports of logs and sawn timber from January to September amounted to 48,295,000 cubic metres, a year-on-year decline of 2.7 per cent.

In terms of value, China's import value of logs and sawn timber in September 2024 was 1044.4 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 0.1% year-on-year; China's cumulative import value of logs and sawn timber in January-September was 10,130 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 0.6% year-on-year.
