PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
In some ayous logs black holes, brittleheart, ring shakes, and grub holes can appear. The wood is yellowish white to light yellowish white to light yellow with the heartwood being sometimes darker. In addition ribbon-like aspects appear on the quarter sawn, and the grain is sometimes irregular.
